Intralase

IntraLase is the blade-less form of laser surgery. Two different types of lasers are used; one to create the flap and a second one to reshape the cornea (and remove/reduce the prescription). Once the first laser creates the flap, then the surgeon simply performs the traditional LASIK procedure (minus the flap creation).

The flap is much thinner, which allows for the correction of larger prescriptions.
